Welcome to Dining Diva Dinners

I am thrilled to announce to you the launch of DiningDivaDinners.com, a website to help you have healthy, homemade dinners in the amount of time you have, whether that be a few minutes or a few hours.

My name is Susan, and for years now I have been dreaming of helping families have dinner together and share delicious, healthy, homemade meals.  I believe dinner is a time of bonding for a family and helps us connect. In today's fast-paced world, it can be easy to drive-through or order out for the sake of convenience.  I know!  I have done it too.  However, the food's never as good, the experience never as complete, and the meal never as healthy as when we cook at home.  So, with the help of a cast of fabulous friends, confidants and supporters, I am sharing with you the way I put dinner on the table for our family in the hope it helps you and inspires you and brings your family together.

I know food is personal, so please let me introduce myself and tell you a few things that you'll see as we share a journey together.  First, I play many roles: mother (of four -- 8, 7, 2, and 1), full-time leader in corporate America, friend, room mom, volunteer...the list goes on.  Like you, my life is busy.  So, the majority of the meals I will share with you are "Everyday eating" meals...quick to get on the table at the end of a long day.  Many have you prep a bit the night before.  Some are crock pot meals or soups.  Second, I believe in 'homemade' meals, so none of the meals are going to have you simply pour a jar of sauce over some noodles.  All meals will feel homemade.  Of course, I also love to entertain, and I want to make those meals special, so most weeks I'll offer an "Impress Them" meal.  Often these are a little more involved, but they are there to give you an option to make a huge impression.  Also, the daughter of a baker and a candy maker, I love sweets.  So, each week, I'll add a dessert to the menu!  After all, dessert makes life sweeter!  Finally, as much as I love sweets, I am an avid follower and trainer of the Corporate Athlete (tm) program, which promotes healthy eating and lifestyle.  So, I will also ensure the meals are healthy and well-rounded.

While I believe strongly in my system, I do not pretend to have all the answers; I simply have a system that works and a belief that the more people I connect, the better we will make each other.  So, please share your ideas, your thoughts, your recipes, and your experiences.  I will do the same, right here on this blog and of course, through the weekly meal plans and recipes.

I look forward to our journey together.
Susan, the Dining Diva

My husband and I are retired. Looking for ways to save money by eating out less. This is a great idea. I would need to alter the recipes for two I suppose. Is there a cost to subscribin?

Mary - DDD is a great way to save money and eat out less. There is no cost to subscribe. It's free. I simply want people to have the tools to eat healthier and eat together. Also, you're right, some recipes you'd need to halve. Also, you could simply freeze half of some of the recipes. I try to denote that in the instructions sheet. Welcome!

LOVE this idea! I, too, am a mom and 'full-time leader in Corporate America'. I attempt to plan healthy meals for my family, but it's SO easy to full into the trap of take outs and drive throughs at the end of a busy day. Can't wait to see the recipes and meal plans!
